InGAME: Innovation for Games and Media Enterprise is anexciting multi-million pound investment in Dundee's videogames cluster. InGAME will deliver an R&D Centre at the heart of the Dundee cluster and offer R&D support and services for the games and media industry in the city and beyond. Led by Abertay University, and in partnership with the University of Dundee, the University of St Andrews and local and international industry partners, InGAME will increase the value and scale of the cluster through cutting edge research and innovation in creative, technological and collaborative business processes.
The project seeks to appoint a Research and Development Fellow with a strong track record of research and/or significant professional experience in Technology Innovation, providing expertise in technology interoperation across state-of-the-art hardware,software and network architectures.
Research and Development Fellows will work collaboratively with InGAME Directors, academic researchers and industry partners to generate product, service and experience innovations with companies in Dundee's games development and digital media cluster, to translate these innovative developments into sustainable business opportunities, and to generate transferable research insights of value to other creative clusters and processes. You will work at the interface between the Universities and games industry partners to deliver new insight and understanding around sector challenges and translate challenges into R&D projects, innovative outputs and business opportunities. The role requires experience and understanding of contextualised R&D methods and impact assessment, the ability to contribute to academic publications together with industry media and policy reports, very good interpersonal skills, high levels of initiative and independent organisation.
